Your Red Cross
As seen on Sunday evening’s “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” on ABC, the American Red Cross is the leader in health, safety and preparedness training for more than 128 years. The American Red Cross is the premier provider of first aid, CPR, water safety, swimming lessons, care-giving training, babysitter training and other health and safety education programs. Developed in conjunction with medical and aquatics experts, each program delivers the latest information and lifesaving techniques.
“Extreme Makeover Home Edition” featured our Standard First Aid, CPR/AED course and the Mattingly family of Kentucky. Steve Mattingly, a volunteer firefighter, was injured when he was hit by a car while directing traffic responding to a fire. His wife Melissa is an EMT and saved his life. Both were trained by Red Cross.
Your local American Red Cross certified more than 16,000 individuals in the 10-parish area last year. You also have the power to save lives. Get certified today. Register for a course. Become a volunteer. Donate to help others in need. This is your American Red Cross.
